Received this email from Rob in Western Australia who has a boy (Hunyani) from Chatter and Dudley to keep his older neutered female company.
"Hi Rosemary, This photo was taken last week. The two are practically inseparable. Hunyani has settled in well and is a real character. I will keep you posted with his progress. All the best to you guys for 2017. Cheers, Rob"

What a lovely way to end the year with an email like this. This is what makes breeding so satisfying. Duke was the smallest puppy from our Chatter/Dudley litter and was probably my favourite! He is another of our lucky puppies to go to a wonderful home!
" Rosemary, Hi ! I hope you had a lovely peaceful vacation ! HappyNYto you! Thankyou so much for letting us have Duke. He's just the light of our lives. My hubby is besotted - he gets up to potty him each night ( he didn't even do this with our kids) and is the first person he looks forward to seeing each day ! My kids adore him , I love him , my neighbor is besotted, my good friend ( and prior RR owner keeps showing up with her crew of kids- it's just joy all around! He's definitely coming into his own!
He's discovered scrub Turkeys and all things moving ! I'm so paranoid he'll get a tick that I want to keep him inside all day and but he does loves the outdoors and the sun! He's sleeping well, eating well and loves his stuffed animals! I know what's to come so we are setting boundaries but he does get kissed and cuddled a lot. Best Amanda"

Received this sad email today from the Hoskings-Coldy family in South Australia. Sikhali was from our Whisper/Cracker litter born 4 February 2008:
" Dear Rosemary, It is with the most incredible sadness that I let you know that today we said our final goodbye to our beautiful girl, Sikhali. She had not been her usual bubbly self for the past few days and following a X-ray at the vets, she underwent surgery for what we thought was removal of a foreign object on her intestines.
It was then they discovered enormous tumours on her kidneys, which had caused abscesses and massive infection throughout her body. We made the decision not to bring her out of the general anaesthetic and held her as she took her last breath. She was a tough girl and we had absolutely no idea she was sick.
She was just short of her 9th birthday, and even though it does not feel like she was with us long enough, she lived an amazing life and went to so many special places with us. She was an integral part of our family and we will love, miss and remember her forever."

Chatter's babies starting leaving for their new homes this weekend and I am blessed to find such wonderful family homes for them all. This is an email received from Grant in Brisbane who chose the orange collar boy for his family:
"Hi Rosemary, just a quick note to let you know that Dudley is settling in well and is good mates with our other dogs. He is full of beans and getting up to mischief. He is very chatty and likes to have a conversation, was this what Chatter was like? He is eating well, and enjoys his chicken necks and raw chicken legs. We love him to bits and he is a real snuggler. Thankyou for letting us have such a wonderful addition to our family.
Cheers , Grant "

Duke is from our Chatter/Dudley litter and went to his new home last weekend. This is the email I received from his new owners: "Rosemary, We are in total love with him. He's totally different to our last girl -we'd hit the ground running from day 1 and we didn't stop!!!
He's a lovely energy - playful yet quite mellow and very sweet and he can amuse himself a bit which we aren't used to at all!! Best Amanda "

Lovely to have updates on dogs we have bred. Brad and Melissa bought Shumba from our Nala/Makani litter born in June 2014 and I had forgotten to give them a copy of the hip and elbow certificates of Nala and Makani which I usually include in the puppy information package that go with all of our puppies.
"Hi Rosemary, Brad and myself are specialist veterinary nurses, and as such readily recognise the important health benefits of desexing, she is desexed and also had a prophylactic gastropexy at the time of desexing to minimise her risk of gastric dilation voluvus. We weren't asking for her parents hip/elbow scores with a view of breeding her.
I run Shumba with me usually five days a week, therefore it's very important she has good conformation and skeletal structure. I couldn't find the information on scores for her parents when I was curious about it, but was sure I had seen it before, maybe on your website?
It definitely isn't in her folder you gave us. She has NOT had any lameness, though she is reluctant to jump at times but is just out of laziness as she prefers to be lifted into the car lol! She certainly can manage to jump onto/off the bed when it suits her haha! Here are some photos you may like. "

At the Directors Show in Brisbane today, prior to the start of judging there was a presentation for the recently elevated All Breeds Judges and I received this lovely certificate and badge from the President of Dogs Queensland. Then on to the judging and Kali once again performed like a dream and was awarded Best of Breed and Runner Up In Hound Group under judge Mrs Ellie Maitland from Victoria. Solar with Julie was Reserve Challenge dog, TT and Julie was Reserve Challenge Bitch and Holly was the only one in her class but she behaved beautifully. So proud of these dogs!

So pleasing when people post pics on Facebook of their RR and their children. This is Josie and Amber who has just turned a year old. Amber is from our litter of 15 puppies from Tikki and Chukkie born November last year. Thanks to the McGregor family in Perth for giving Amber such a wonderful home.

Love it when people come back for seconds and what a fabulous home!! Zahra is from our Shala/Hawk litter born July 2011:
"Hi Rosemary, We got our gorgeous girl Zahra from you around 5 years ago and are contemplating another addition. What might you have available in the future? We're not fussy, Zahra is ridgeless, it's personality not perfection we are after, Many thanks The Haddows"

9/10/11 December
Congratulations to Meg Spark who drove about 5 hours on her own for the first time and showed Tao (BISS Ch Chilolo MT Tao On Fire) at 3 shows for 3 x Best of Breed. Huge congrats Megsy!!
In Brisbane Julie handled Tikki to Challenge Bitch and Runner Up Best of Breed on Friday night and went one better yesterday with Challenge Bitch and Best of Breed. Solar and Holly were only shown yesterday and Solar was Challenge Dog and Holly won her class and was Best Baby Puppy In Group at the Open Show.
And in Canberra Helen with Punky (who is out of Ch Chilolo EK Charged In Gold) gained her Australian Champion title over the weekend. Well done everyone - very happy with all those results.

Julie sent this photo through today of her Sasha (Enya-Kimba daughter) who had found what she thought was a comfortable place for a snooze!

WooHoo! Just received the official certificate for Kali who is now known as Supreme Champion Chilolo EBY Kalahari Gold (AI). A Supreme Champion must accumulate 1000 points plus either 3 Best in All Breeds Show awards or 10 Best In Group awards.
Kali is such a lovely girl and always gives me 150% in the show ring. She loves life on the farm too as can be seen. Almost every morning she goes for a swim in the creek or the day no matter how cold the weather is! She has been awarded Best In Show at All Breeds championship level which is difficult for a RR and particularly for a bitch. Just love her!

4 December
Chatter's babies are 6 weeks old today. How time flies! They are fat and healthy and Chatter just loves playing with them. They do not have very good manners at meal time and they love playing in a cardbox!

Lovely photo from Jon and Gabby who bought Jeter and Ellie from our Dudley/Bling litter. Jon tells me "The puppies are going really well. They love the beach and have just discovered how to get in and out of the pool. They are finding their voices and are more confident around other dogs.
They play non-stop, have dug a couple of holes and like to chew their beds. Jeter is bigger than Ellie but is still the one who loves cuddles more. They are both beautiful looking dogs. If you are on the coast anytime, we would love to catch up so you can see them. Jon"

On 9 May this year, a litter of puppies was born in the USA. There were 9 in the litter and they were whelped by Joan Morrone and sired by the last of the frozen semen from a dog called PB (BIS/BISS Kwetu's Pocket Full Of Promise ROM).
PB was bred by Barbara Sawyer-Brown and her husband, Art under the Kwetu prefix which is one of the best known RR prefixes in the world. PB was born on 25 June 1980 and was one of the most successful RRs ever to be bred in terms of success in the show ring and success as a stud dog. I have been a long time admirer of PB and our boy Herc (Am/Aust Ch Hercules of Parnassus) was a grandson of PB.
Now Emma and I have been lucky enough to have bought the pick male from PB's last ever litter. His name is Player - Kwetu PB's Power Play and he is a stunning puppy who is already drawing amazing comments from other RR breeders and handlers as well as judges in America.
Emma took Player to 5 shows over the past 2 weekends and from 6-9 months Puppy Class, he has been awarded 3 x Best of Winners (1 x 4 point Major), 1 x Reserve Winners Dog and he has been unbeaten in his class. I am so very proud to co-own this puppy with Emma.
|
For those of you who may not know, my daughter Emma Marshall, is a professional handler in the USA. She is based in Oklahoma but travels all over the country showing her client's Saluki, Miss Pooh, who has been extremely successful over the past 2 years winning 22 Best In Show awards to date.
Emma and Miss Pooh have qualified for the Westminster Kennel Club show held at Madison Square Garden, New York every February and is probably the most prestigious dog show in the USA. This is a promotional interview in the build up to the show.

Lovely email received from Sharne and her family who bought Ted from our Tikki/Chukkie litter born a year ago:
"Hello Rosemary How are you? I wanted to touch base and let you know that Ted is a great dog and the kids just love him. Still a shame about the name! I can't believe they turn 1 this week. He has not been very naughty - it's been easier than I expected with shoes, chewing and garden wreckage. We love him so much we want to go on a wait list for another if you are planning more litters. We still have Ruby our old girl, but her walking is starting to decline and while she is in no pain I think by the end of 2017 we might be looking for a new pup. We decided Ted would not like being alone. I know it's a bit premature but I wanted to get on the wait list for a girl puppy at approx end of 2017, if that's OK. I hope all is well with you and all the dogs. Cheers Sharne "

This morning I received a lovely email from Katalin in Sydney who bought Jerry from us in 2006. Jerry is a litter brother to our Enya and his parents are Herc (Am/Aust Ch Hercules of Parnassus) and Sox (Aust Ch Chilolo Akobi Gold).
"Dear Rosemary,
I hope you are well and your lovely ridgebacks continue to give you a lot of pleasure. Just wanted to send you a picture of our Jerry (in Sydney). He is now almost 11 and is going well, although a little greyer than before! Sometimes he is now reluctant to go for a walk if only I or my husband are going, but if the pack is together, like this morning, he'll be happy to cover a 5km walk around the area. He has no issues, no health problems (bar some skin bumps but that's not dangerous), and no joint pain, and he could still eat a horse. Hugs and all the best from Katalin"

Emails like this make breeding worthwhile. Leigh and Tony and their daughter Meg bought a puppy from our Bling and Dudley litter born 28 June:
Hi Rosemary, Finally found time to check my email after a VERY busy week last week, and all set to send a progress report when I found your email! Well, what a gorgeous little man we have... He is sleeping at my feet right now, after the usual crazy morning of leaping around like a maniac!! He alternates between mad play, and deep sleep to recover, but between times he is incredibly calm and relaxed for such a young guy. I think that you must have spent quite some time with his early training, as he already knows basic commands such as Sit, Lie down, Come, Stay etc. He always walks right beside me, so lead training is proving fairly easy.
House training is going well, with very few mishaps ( he takes himself outside at times) Nights are getting better all the time. He sleeps in the ensuite, and is settling easily between visits outside. We finally settled on Raz for his name. We tried Zim but it wasn't sharp enough to get his attention and he responded better to Raz. Of course we occasionally slip and call him by our old dog's name, but he really is just a miniature Rafiki, and I reckon we will sometimes slip no matter what we call him!! There's nothing he likes better than a cuddle - he goes into a deep sleep in your arms and we are enjoying being able to do that while we can. Meg has virtually returned home for this puppy stage as we know it will unfortunately be for such a short time.
His first visit to the vet went well. Anna (his vet) declared him to be perfect, and we couldn't agree more. I am taking him to the puppy school that they run on Tuesday, basically to socialize him, as I am fairly confident that I will be OK with his basic training myself. He loves children, by the way. I wish I could hire some! His confidence is increasing rapidly, and is lovely to watch. He loves the great outdoors (but only if he can see us) and is becoming less dubious about the horses as the days go by. I wish you could have seen his reaction to the sight of the miniature horse from next door that likes to sneak into our paddock- a quick run back to the house, thought about it for a while, gathered his courage, and then walked down the drive past it, to join me. What a hero! Not chasing the cat is another learning curve that he is mastering, but only when we are not watching.
The drive home went very well- he slept all the way with his little head on my lap. Tony, who is slightly jealous, thinks that he overbonded with me on the way, as he certainly never leaves my side now, but I think it's because I have been home with him all the time. Anyway, he likes the car- hops in and out himself now. Yesterday was the first trip to the beach, and was a great success. He is very friendly to all, and pretty fearless really. He also went to lunch at a French cafe, where he was greatly admired. This afternoon he will visit our dog sitter, and I am sure they will fall in love with each other!
Well obviously I could rave on for ever, and I have no doubt you have heard it all before, but I must say a huge thank you for him. We are so glad we waited for one of your beautiful dogs, and for all the help and trouble you went to in the process of our acquiring him. He still talks a bit, and he said to say a great big thank you, and that he misses you. He wants to come for a visit in a while, and we would love that too, so we will keep in touch with updates.
Cheers and Thanks, Leigh, Tony and Meg.

Sometimes people ask how Ridgebacks are with children. Maybe this will answer a few questions - for our Chilolo dogs at least. This is the Hoskings-Coldy family in South Australia who own a 9 year old boy from Herc and Ripple, Chimanhu (Minty's litter brother), and an 8 year old girl, Sikhali who is from Cracker and Whisper. Who could ask for a better home?

Lovely email from Anne who is the new owner of one of our Bling/Dudley babies "Hudson is great and has settled in well - the kids absolutely love him.
He has latched onto our 4 year old Labrador, Bailey and is his new best friend. Bailey can't go anywhere without his little shadow and when they're not running around the back yard Hudson is laying all over Bailey. He started puppy preschool on the weekend and that went really well. He can sit, stay & come and is getting used to his lead. He really is a lovely little boy. I've attached a few photos for you. Kind regards Anne"

28 Aug
Received this message from Jennie and Don who have Holly from our Bling/Dudley litter. They also have Maggie who is a rescue cross bred girl:
Update on the pup. Finally.. all decided on calling her Holly.
She is awesome! We introduced her to the other dog gradually and by Wednesday she is a full on Maggie shadow. Maggie has been excellent with her, and they are already best of mates. Very happy to say Maggie shows no signs jealousy, not worried about pup going near her food, is very gentle when playing (even if the pup is a bit robust in pulling on her face), and seems to thoroughly enjoy having her too. Always a worry since we have only had her since April so didn't really know what she would be like around a pup.
I have to say she is a very well-adjusted pup that is not scared of new things or noises, comes when she is called, follows people and hangs around, (no scared hiding or running off) which is testament to how you raise them. Very happy with how intelligent and obedient puppy is already."

20 June
Monday and today I head off for a look at the World Dog Show in Moscow later this week which I am really looking forward to. Then to Copenhagen to attend the Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congress for 3 days. On 2 July I have been asked to judge males and Best In Show at the Show to close the Congress which I am really looking forward to. This is a great privilege for me to judge Ridgebacks in Europe and I am sure I will see some lovely dogs. Will also be glad to be back home to play some more with Ditto.
Ditto, our singleton puppy from Kali, is growing like a weed and went to the vet for her 6 weeks vaccination and microchip today. She is just gorgeous everyone loves her.
Today I left Brisbane for Dubai and then on to Copenhagen overnight and then on to Moscow to see the World Dog Show which went from 23-25 June. It was a wonderful experience and there were some lovely dogs there and many breeds I had never seen before. I took the metro into Moscow and it is amazinglu clean and some of the underground stations have the most wonderful sculptures and art work depicting various stages of development in Russia. Just beautiful.
After a day in Moscow and staying with friends, I went to Lund in Sweden for the Rhodesian Ridgeback World Congress. The congress was attended by about 200 ridgeback owners/breeders from all over the world and some of the presentations were very interesting, particularly ones relating to health issues in the breed. The Congress was run by the RR Clubs of Norway, Sweden and Denmark and each had a show.
I had been invited to judge males and Best in Show at the show in Denmark held at Koge. I had some lovely dogs to judge and my Best Male and Best in Show was a lovely liver nosed dog, Villagedogs Red October bred and owned by Dorothy McGoldrick from Belgium. He was strong, balanced, athletic and of a good size.
17 June
Kip takes Challenge Dog and Tessa is Best of Breed and Runner Up in Hound Group at Kalbar Show. Tessa has now gained enough points at 10 months of age for her Championship title.
17/18 June
At Kalbar Show today, Kip went up against the 'big guys' and was awarded Challenge Dog!! Tessa was Best of Breed and Runner Up Best Exhibit in Hound Group. They both behaved so well and are a pleasure to handle in the ring.
The following day, Kip was Challenge Dog again and Tessa was Best of Breed which gave her enough points to apply for her Australian Championship. Not bad for a 9 month old puppy! Thanks to Linda Costa, Sarula RRs, for letting Tessa come and live with us. She is a daughter of our old boy Biko who Linda also bred. Having fun showing these 2 youngsters.
11 June
The Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of Queensland held the annual Championship show in Brisbane with Mrs Wendy Paquette from Canada judging. This is the kind of email I enjoy receiving. Kane is from our Nala/Makani born 17 June 2014:
"Hi Rosemary - This is Kane ready for another walk he is 2 years old now and has been a great dog. Keeps me fit getting dragged around the neighbourhood! He has been in good health only the normal trips to the vet for vaccinations and check ups.
He is good with the grandkids but gives the cat a hard time! So thanks very much for a loyal friend and I hope we get to spend a few more years together. Thanks Again. Ian"

5 June
In Brisbane braving wet and windy conditions, Julie and Tikki ventured out to be awarded Reserve Challenge Bitch. Well done Julie and TT!! And Aleisha and Ace were awarded Best Neuter In Group - way to go Aleisha and Ace!!
In South Australia, huge congratulations to Vanessa Macgill and her boy Gatto (sired by our Chukkie - Ch Chilolo Alaska Blue) who posted the following on facebook:
"If I'd been told 12 months ago I would take my dog off lead, with no treats, at a huge show of over 1000 dogs and do a heelwork routine I would've scoffed....but my absolutely amazing Gatto did just that today, getting his third qualification (from three competitions) in Heelwork to Music Starters. He will now be known as "Grand Champion Mikozi Gracious Villain RN ET FS.S HTM.S". Huge thanks to Elisabeth Brady for having faith in Gatto's training when I had doubts. To say he is one special dog is a huge understatement!" It is wonderful to see RRs competing in events other than showing and even better to see they can be so successful. Well done Vanessa and Gatto!!"

All in all we have a lovely weekend and all our dogs behaved perfectly despite the very windy conditions.

Kali had one puppy today by caesarean as she was actually due yesterday. She was pregnant with more when she was ultra-sounded at 4 weeks but she unfortunately has absorbed the other puppies. The puppy is a lovely girl, great bone and substance and a lovely long wide ridge.
Today Julie took Chatter to Ipswich Show where she was awarded Best of Breed. This made Chatter our latest Australian Champion! Way to go Julie and Chatter!! We bred Chatter's parents but she was bred by Ann Christie so thanks Ann for allowing Chatter to come and live with us. This photo was from a previous occasion.

Wow Julie and Tikki take out Challenge Bitch at Toowoomba Royal Show ! This is Tikki's first show since taking out Challenge Bitch and Runner Up Best of Breed at Brisbane Royal last August and rearing a litter of 15 babies. She never put a foot wrong even when the person behind her lost control of their dog and almost ran into her! Go Tikki and Julie!
Degenerative Myelophathy DNA test results have come back for Tikki, Chatter, Kali, Minty, Tessa and Enya. All of them have been certified as "Clear" ie they all carry 2 copies of the normal allele. When most of our dogs live to be between 12 and 15 years of age with almost no physical problems, we were sure they would not be carrying any inheritable health conditions, but we decided to test just to be certain.

February
What a whirlwind month February was. On 10th I left for USA to spend 2 weeks with Emma who was handling Pooh the Saluki at Westminster Kennel Club Show at Madison Square Garden, New York. Westminster, or The Garden as it is known, is one of the most prestigious shows in the USA and the top few of each breed are invited to attend. Each breed is allocated a certain number of entries and if some of those invited cannot attend, then the entry is opened to others of the breed who have not qualified. It is judged over 2 days and televised worldwide. We were to have flown from Oklahoma to New York but the weather was so bad that the aircraft will not fly dogs if the temperature drops below a certain level so Emma decided to drive 22 hours. We left Oklahoma on Thursday afternoon and arrived in New York mid afternoon on Saturday 13th and it was blowing a gale and very cold. Monday was show day and Emma and Pooh were awarded Best of Breed and then went on to 3rd place in the Hound Group. That is the first time Emma has exhibited at The Garden and it was such a thrill and a huge achievement for her. I was so glad I was able to be there to watch her.

Update on some of the Tikki/Chukkie babies:
Ted and Ruby lion hunting. I have been meaning to give you a Ted update for a while so here it is. He is going great he is a very sweet puppy and not much trouble at all. 10 weeks old today - hard to believe! I got home from work on Wed and his legs had grown another inch. Yesterday he started going up the deck stairs as a result but hasn't mastered going down yet! He has developed a fan base as I am uploading pics on face book of him every second day or so as he changes so much. Everyone loves him and we have had a stream of visitors. The name Ted has stuck as it is now engraved on a tag! But the kids are calling him "floorboard" as a joke as he is camouflaged on the floor. So much for all my African name ideas! Sharne and family

30/31 January
While I was judging toys, terriers, gundogs and hounds in Auckland, Julie took Chatter to 2 shows in Brisbane. In really hot humid conditions Julie and Chatter were awarded a 15pt Challenge and RUBOB at the second show. Chatter was overlooked at the first show but did manage a 2nd in her class. Way to go Julie and Chatter!

23/24 January
Well all but one of Tikki's puppies went to their new homes over the weekend. The final little girl is being collected on Tuesday. I have really enjoyed this litter - they have been so clean and have such sweet natures they have been a pleasure and I am certain they will all be much appreciated in their new homes. Kimberley collected Leo when I delivered 5 to the airport to travel to Perth, Karratha, Sydney and Melbourne.
Huge congratulations also to Aleisha and Ace who won the Best Neuter in Hound Group at Show 2. He looked lovely but unfortunately the win was tainted a little with some very derogatory comments from another exhibitor. Ace is a lovely dog and has drawn many comments from successful RR breeders and Aleisha does a great job handling him. Nobody wins all the time. Go Aleisha and Ace!
On the show scene, I am so proud of our 4 dogs this weekend. They behaved so well and could not have performed better - Julie handled Chatter and Solar and I took Kali and Tessa. At the open show on Saturday, Kali was Best of Breed and Group 2 (Runner Up In Group), Chatter was Runner Up Best of Breed and Best Junior In Hound Group, Solar was Best Dog and Tessa was Baby of Breed. At the championship show which followed, Chatter was Challenge Bitch, Kali was Reserve, Solar was Reserve Challenge Dog and Tessa went on to be awarded Best Baby Puppy (3-6 mths) In Show.
On Sunday there were 2 championship shows. At Show 1, Solar was Reserve Dog and Runner Up Best of Breed, Kali was Reserve Challenge Bitch and Chatter was 2nd in her class. Tessa was not entered at today as I thought 4 shows in a weekend was too much for her at her age. At Show 2 Kali was BEST EXHIBIT IN HOUND GROUP, Chatter was Runner Up Best of Breed and Solar was Reserve Challenge Dog. There was a thunder storm on Saturday night with lots of thunder and lightning but none of our dogs were concerned.

Congratulations to Karen and her 'Rubydog' (Ch Chilolo CBA Ruby Image) who was awarded BEST IN HOUND GROUP at the Dorrigo and District Kennel Club Show on the weekend. Way to go Ruby and Karen!

22 January
The babies are now just over 8 weeks of age and today they all had a final check for dermoid sinus, correct mouths, and the boys were all checked that they had both testicles descended.
Then we bathed them all, clipped their toe nails, wormed them and finalised all the paperwork to go with them to their new homes. In one of these photos Tessa is trying to get as close to a puppy as she can - wonder what they are saying to each other!!
In the other photo, the babies are watching while I bath Solar ready for the show tomorrow!

|
2/3 January
Well the years has started off with a bang with Tessa our new girl having her first 2 shows. Yesterday she won a huge Baby Puppy All Breeds Sweepstakes class and today she was awarded Best Baby Puppy in Show. She behaved really well although she had had enough by the time we tried to take photos!
News in from Scotland that Brad (Chilolo SHHA Shoot For The Moon) has sired his third litter of 12 - 6 boys, 6 girls, all perfect ridges. Look forward to watching those babies develop.
And at home Tikki's babies continue to grow bigger and are almost 6 weeks old. She loves them and is so gentle and long suffering and they are such good fun to play with!
News in from Singapore where Thomas and Toby were awarded 2nd Best in Show at the first show either of them have ever attended! Way to go Thomas and Toby. Huge congratulations from us here!! Toby is from our Makani/Image litter born April 2014.

Received this email today from John and Donna who bought Didge from us in July 2002.
"Hi Rosemary, It is with much sadness that I have to inform you that Didge passed away in her sleep on the 23rd December.(13 ½ years) We thank you for breeding such a wonderful dog, and allowing us to have her in our lives. I think that you should definitely breed a dog that never dies though. Sad that it is, we hope that we provided the best for her.
It was very intensive towards the end, but worth it in our eyes. I see that you have a new litter of pups at the moment, tempting as it is, to ask if one is available(especially that I think that Chuckie is Didge's Dad) we are not in a position at the moment to take on a new pup. Maybe later down the track you would allow us to take on a new one.
We still love Didge
Thanks again
Donna & John
